I don’t speak Arabic, but like many of us, I memorized short surahs without understanding their meanings. Only later did I realize how powerful those meanings were—and how much I wished I had learned them sooner. At first, I thought I had plenty of time to teach my kids. But when they came home from school with lessons that didn’t match our faith, I knew I couldn’t wait. I began explaining verses in English. When the translations still felt too complicated, I started simplifying them—and that led me to writing these books. My children deserve to know, from the very beginning, the power and meaning of the words they recite each night, and later in their prayers.

Children today are surrounded by voices—through entertainment, school, friends, and even family—telling them how to think. These books are my way of giving them something stronger: Allah’s words, explained simply, so they can understand and remember.

Islam is beautiful, logical, and from Allah. It doesn’t need fairytales or make-believe. It explains the world as it truly is and gives us real protections—against evil, fear, sadness, magic, the evil eye, whispers, and the unseen. These aren’t stories—they are shields for the soul.

Ultimately, Allah guides whom He wills. Their journey is theirs, just as mine is mine. But as a parent, my role is to prepare them so they don’t get lost among the many voices pulling them away from faith.
